the ban on Brown

so i'm driving home from work yesterday listening to the trust radio and i hear this announcement. Kevin whoever his name is says his boss and the head of communications or something are going to come on the radio and comment on the Chris Brown situation....geeez. ok so here's what i'm thinking about at this point? what freaking Chris Brown situation. Yes it's true. i'm lame and listen to the radio in my car....two reason...i don't have a cd player...i know i'm ancient and my ipod is broken and thus my transmitter has nothing to hook up to anymore. anyways....so the reason this whole Chris Brown "situation" perks my attention because a few days back i saw a little flash on tv about how he grew up in an abusive household. so yes....sad. but a lot of people do i'm thinking so to really publicize this i'm not sure why. I don't pay any more attention and just go along. then i'm in the car listening to the radio and this man with a lovely monochromatic voice comes on saying that they'll no longer be playing Chris Brown music on the radio until this situation is resolved. WHAT? now hear me this isn't about me being a Chris Brown fan or not. it's about a few things here. there's speculation that he abused his gf (famous Rhianna). the reason i'm saying speculation is because not too many of the stories i've heard or read match up at this point.

this is what i'm getting to...they're not playing his music because he beat up his girlfriend. wow. so now by not playing his music...all of the songs he's collaborated with another artist aren't playing as well. i think people should 100% be punished for their actions. but i also think there are so many things we turn a blind eye to because they're not the young and the famous.... there are tons of these things happening everywhere and they're going unnoticed. Chris Brown is loosing money from this... the last guy i knew who hit his gf went to work every day and pulled in great cash.

so is this a lesson to speak out? does it say it only matters who's speaking when it comes to speaking out? i don't know. I don't listen to Chris Brown anyways. I do however think the radio should be consistant with who they're "punishing" for what. what if we said....hey everyone driving a big ass truck or SUV we wont play your music until you stop because you're destroying the earth. or you don't recycle so we wont play your music....or you're amy winehouse....enough said.

and in conclusion i would really appreciate more lindsay lohan drama. way more interesting than this.
